Transitioning from one subject to the next has always been an art form. Creating protocols that encourage students to put materials away and get ready for the next activity (without them bumping into each other or arguing), takes a lot of skill from the classroom teacher. It’s even more challenging when students are excited and wound-up. I tend to see this excitement a lot after a music class.
